Lee Ranaldo, cofounder of the Sonic Youth, guitar player, solo author, and producer and live poet at Siren Festival!
In parallel with his work with Sonic Youth, over the years he has developed a notable and prolific solo career starting in 1987, when he published his first album, From Here to Infinity. Next came Scriptures of Golden Eternity, a limited edition LP in 1993, Envisioning in 1995, Amarillo Ramp in 1997, Dirty Windows and Clouds in 1998, Music for Stage and Screen and Oasis of Whispers in 2005 and Four Guitars Live with Nels Cline, Carlos Giffoni and Thurston Moore, in 2006. After the breakup of the Sonic Youth, in 2012 Lee published Between the Times and The Tides, in 2013 Last Night on Earth, then in 2014 the first entirely acoustic album Acoustic Dust, containing the rerecroddings of some songs which appeared in his last two solo albums. In addition to eight of these reinterpretations, the album also has three covers: Revolution Blues by Neil Young, Bushes and Briars by Sandy Denny and You Just May Be the One of the Monkees.
